Travel cara tak bajet tapi tak mahal, I panggil intermediate traveller

 

Disclaimer: Ini hanyalah sharing santai peribadi. Saya tidak menjaga grammar.

I bukan budget traveller tetapi bukan juga yang jenis kayangan. Selalu tengok sharing dalam internet tip travel orang tight budget atau orang loaded spend.

So where does people like me share the tips?

Bila my friends tanya, I selalu cakap I tak bajet tapi tidak lah a big spender. So lama-lama term intermediate traveller word I guna, kerana kita di tengah-tengah, senang nak explain kat orang lain. Ini adalah trip orang single.

Limit aktiviti sehari

I don’t like travel in a rush, semua benda nak buat dalam sehari. Been there done that, and I ended up tak ingat sangat apa yang I buat and half of the time rasa tak puas.

I lebih kepada travel santai. Mungkin sebagai contoh, orang lain boleh cover 8 aktiviti dalam 4 hari, tapi itinerary I akan lebih stretch masa kepada 6 hari. I selalu akan selit aktiviti leisure atau bebas. I lebihkan masa bangun lambat apabila masuk hari ketiga, keempat kerana badan kita pasti akan penat sebab travelling kan memenatkan.

Another thing, I akan letak dalam itinerary leisure di mana masa itu my friend and I akan pilih tempat yang kami nak repeat untuk enjoy the moment. Sebab selalu pergi travel akan ada rasa nak pegi tempat tu lagi kalau sempat, end up tak sempat-sempat.

So now I always put a blank activity untuk repeat one place yang you betul-betul nak repeat. Memang puas hati. Memori pun lebih lekat.

Accomodation

Kalau accommodation, I would pick 2-3 star hotel with good price. I don’t take hostel anymore. Lebih selesa, bersih pun bersih, ada privacy, terutama toilet dalam bilik. Kalu pandai cari, memang ada promo 4 star hotel yang murah-murah dan kalu jenis suka airbnb pun you akan dapat nice and cozy place dengan harga berpatutan.

Selalunya I akan cari accommodation tak lebih rm100 seorang sehari. Kalau pergi lagi ramai, boleh kurangkan kos penginapan. Harga intermediate I panggil. Tak mahal tak murah. Kalau Airbnb lagi jimat.

Hari pertama sampai, I suka pusing kat neighbourhood untuk tahu apa ada kat around my accommodation. Kalau ada mini market, we are happy sebab senang hari-hari boleh singgah kalu terlupa beli sesuatu. Kalau ada breakfast place, selalunya akan  ada one day breakfast pilih yg dekat area tempat tinggal tu.

Makan

Tang makan, my friend and I tak catu. Dah puas kami catu masa dulu-dulu. Ada hari kami breakfast buat sendiri, ada hari kami breakfast kat luar. Kalau makan selalunya sehari sekali akan makan berat dan tak berkira harga. Then if you nak makan tidbit ke roti ke you can lepak kat park or some cool benches dengan pemandangan indah.

Kalau jumpa kedai halal, selalunya terus masuk dan makan. Kami tak bazir masa nak cari kedai makan. If tempat you nak pergi ada halal restaurant, lagi senang. If not, on the way tu kadang-kadang ada ja muslim owner yang bukak kedai makan but at the same time bawak some light food pack jika tak ada langsung.

Kami selitkan juga pengalaman minum kedai hipster, bagi reward kat diri sendiri sebab penat dah berjalan sampai 15k-20k steps sehari. Memang waktu minum kopi makan kek memang rasa nikmat.

Kalu travel seminggu, rasanya 2 kali gak beli groceries. Memang dah ada in mind nak makan apa, yang senang masak macam aglio olio, nasi goreng. Beras, mini kicap, sos cili McDonald (terima kasih mcd) akan dibawa dari Malaysia. To us, sos cili McDonald memang penting sgt sbb luar negara selalunya takda sos cili. Fries pun makan dengan sos tomato. Maggi takyah cakap la memang bawak.

Satu lagi saya selalu bawak zip pack dalam beg everyday sebab kadang-kadang makan tak habis tapi takde bekas nak pack, so masukkkan je dalam zip lock tu senang. I buat selalunya masa kat dalam flight sbb makan tak habis, so macam mini kek dia ke dessert dia yg elok I simpan dalam zip lock tu.

Then makan kat kedai mana-mana pun senang, tak yah segan nak mintak tapau kalau benda dah sikit tapi sayang nak buang.

Makan pun I allocate rm100 sehari. Tapi selalunya kurang dari ni.

Transportation

Sama macam orang bajet, naik public transport sahaja. As we all know, mostly train/subway diorang bagus, so banyak tempat nak melancong ada public transport.

If let say nak pergi tempat jauh sikit dari bandar. Kami selalunya naik bas je sebab malas nak tukar-tukar train. Beza dia pun tak mahal sangat. So you save time and energy sikit tak perlu alert tukar-tukar train and rest dalam bas bagi rehat mind and body sekejap.

Bila travel ni heaven nya bila ada momen tak perlu pakai otak berfikir sebab bila on the move, otak automatically kena observe around, kena alert places, nanti terlepas pulak. So bas memang bagi you santai la for long distance trip.

 

Shopping

I jenis shopping biasa-biasa je. Beli souvenir sikit untuk family and friends and one or two for my own memento. So dalam itinerary kami, hanya ada 2 times visit ke shopping place. Pertama beli yang mahu, kedua beli yang terlupa atau nak tambah haha.

Kami lebih kepada experience and sightseeing bila travel.

Travel Partner

Travel partner sangat penting ya, sebab kena sekepala. Kalu tak sama pendapat ke, atau ada tergaduh sikit ke, tidaklah masam muka lama-lama. Cepat baik balik. Memang kene cari tak emo sebab penah pergi dengan kawan ajak kawan lain, aduhai emo kawan lagi satu tu, Australia ke New Zealand pun jadi tak best.

So kena cari yang nak buat aktiviti yang sama, kalu pergi dengan orang suka shopping, you tak suka susah lah. Kalu pergi dgn orang yang nak visit banyak tempat, walhal tau masa tak cukup pun boleh buat gaduh.. jadi bentangkan siap-siap jenis you mcm mana and if kawan boleh fit, dia mesti ok punya.

Satu lagi cari kawan ada duit sama banyak dengan you, bukan apa, kalu dia bajet you tak, tak boleh juga. Sebab nanti dia tak makan, takkan dia tengok you makan. so selalunya kami akan discuss berapa banyak duit nak bawa, yg beza tu selalunya sbb ade benda dia nak beli. More to shopping and souvenir stuff. Duit makan tak kacau.

Barulah travel partner abadi hehe.

Sebenarnya suka 4 orang tapi sekarang sangat susah nak 4 orang, maka selalunya berdua je. Dapat geng je, travel. Satu lagi cuti nak pakai pun jadi isu, ada kawan tak boleh cuti lama. So kena match jugak.

So rasanya itulah tips yang I boleh share dengan pengalaman I masa travel. Hopefully ada make sense kat korang yang baca nih :p terima kasih!
